Windows 10 program entice users
Some Windows 10 users complain that advertisements from Microsoft's own applications are inviting them to use deceptive applications. These ads will appear in native Windows 10 apps, such as the News app.
Specifically, these ads are hidden as false warnings that warn users of security threats that do not exist.
Example of GAC Security Code:
We can see a false alarm window claiming that your computer has been infected with malicious software X. The advertisement calls the user to click the scan button. Most likely, redirecting this button will redirect you to a deceptive scam or some online comfort to download deceptive software.
There were also other types of misleading ads, indicating that users had won a new iPhone or were given the opportunity to fill out a survey. It's always a trick designed to reveal our information to criminals.
Using this bait is nothing new. The worrying thing is that these ads appear within Microsoft applications. In theory, these applications must be safe.
The German page of Microsoft Answers, which is a type of user service page, already has this problem registered. The Microsoft representative already reported that it was a fraudulent advertising campaign that managed to sneak into the company's advertising network.
If you find something like this, close the window and do not click it. There are not many users to do except wait until Microsoft deactivates this campaign and expels its creators from its ad network.
