Wait for phones with 108 megapixels and 10x
optical zoom cameras next year
IceUniverse, who often shares reliable information from insiders, says that next year we'll see a 108 megapixel camera and a 10x optical zoom camera. The

Interestingly, Credit Suisse published a report in March predicting to see "65 megapixel sensors in 2H 2019 and 108MP sensors in 2020". Well, the 64 MB sensor is already a reality (not 65 megapixels, but still), and phone makers are already queuing up to use it. Qualcomm made similar predictions about 64MP and 100MP cameras on smart phones.
Who will make such a crazy sensor? The above-mentioned 64MP sensor is manufactured by Samsung, so it is the main suspect (Sony has not released its 64MP sensor yet). The South Korean giant also has a 5x optical zoom camera in the business.
Of course, no company has announced a 100+ megapixel or 10x magnification sensor, so that's just a guess. Note that we're talking about optical zoom here, not mixed like current generation phones.
