How to use
the new Facebook Marketplace
Facebook updated the Marketplace app this week.
During Tuesday's F8 conference, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new and improved design that includes an updated
Facebook market.
The new Marketplace, which allows you to buy anything from furniture to clothing, allows buyers to order items directly through the app and ship seller items in the US. This means you no longer have to schedule the capture time on both ends of the transaction.
Here's how to use it.
Buy items on Facebook Marketplace
Marketplace navigation is easy - browse, search by keyword, or search by category. Now, when you find an item you want, you'll see an option to sign out directly through the app. You can choose the quantity you want and the shipping price.
When you select the Checkout button, you'll be taken to the payment page where you'll enter your delivery address, credit card, or PayPal information. Facebook says the transaction will be safe.
You'll also notice that you can now send a message to the seller from the product list, instead of forwarding it to Facebook Messenger.
Sell in the market
When you insert an item in the Facebook Marketplace, you now have the option to ship. Create a new list of usual information and select "Display Shipping" below. Once your customer receives their item, you will be paid.
You'll also be able to live stream the items you sell in a Facebook video, but are not yet available. You'll be able to answer any questions that buyers ask about products during the live stream.
